How we decide which "Gurus" can be trusted...

There are two components to developing our "TRUSTED GURUS" list: Our Volunteer Advisory Board and our Voting Members.

OUR VOLUNTEER ADVISORY BOARD
We have an Advisory Board who's job it is to review the teachings and materials for sale by anyone claiming to be an expert who is offering information for sale to the public.

Just like Consumer Reports, TrustedGurus.com does not accept advertising. No back-room deals. No affiliate links. No JV deals. We actually buy the stuff and review it.

(However in the spirit of FULL DISCLOSURE, we need to let you know that sometimes we get free review copies of material. But the fact that we get any particular item for free has no affect on our opinion or review. In most cases, the Advisory Board Member doing the reviewing will not know whether the item was purchased or comped, and wouldn't care either way.)

OUR VOTING MEMBERS
Our members get a chance to vote on gurus they trust. In order to vote, a member must be an active member of TrustedGurus.com (membership is free) and they must have purchased the product or service they are voting on.

These information "Gurus" spend a lot of time and money developing their sales pages.

They even hire high-powered copy-writers who charge up to $25,000 to write one letter (plus they get a piece of the action).

Well, the Gurus know that the copywriters will spend weeks or even months studying the market.

By the time they have finished their research, they know exactly what words and phrases will have you desperately scrambling for your credit card.

In many cases, there is more time, thought and energy put into the sales letter for a new product than there is in the actual product which might be selling for many thousands of dollars!

Sometimes the actual product is great! And sometimes it's, well... not so great.

Of course they have all kinds of testimonials and proofs of income on their websites, but how much can you trust them? In most cases, you have no idea, do you?

The members of the Advisory Board (and I) already make plenty of money with other projects. We don't need to make any money from this site.

TrustedGurus.com is a public service of Peter Dudek - owner of this site, the Members of the Volunteer Advisory Board and the Active Voting Members who are Information Consumers just like YOU.

If you click the TrustedGuru logo on any guru's website, you should be taken to that guru's profile page on our site.

For example, if Albert Einstein was selling information about "How to Make Loads of Cash With My Special Theory of Relatively Easy Money" and he had a TrustedGuru logo on his site, when you clicked the logo, you would be taken to www.TrustedGurus.com/AlbertEinstein.html. If you click on a TrustedGuru logo on someone's website and it DOESN'T bring you to one of our Profile Pages on this site, then a dishonest person has stolen our logo and is using it illegally. If you are the first person to report it, we'll buy you a pizza. Seriously. We'll send you a check for $20.

Since we don't want to be negative we won't list gurus we don't trust. But we will have NO PROBLEM listing all the BAD PEOPLE who have stolen our logo. They will get a special spot in our LOGO THIEVES HALL OF SHAME.
